Legend suggests that it was this flower that prevented an attacking ambush from a Norse army, as a foot soldier trod on the spiky plant, alerting the Scottish Warriors, allowing them to defeat the attackers. Ever since, the flower has been adopted as the national flower and is an iconic motif on the glassware. The pair are presented in a Midnight Blue presentation box with gold blocking.
