This beautifully expressive, glazed porcelain figurine is titled A Child Is Born. Saint Joseph, wearing a white tunic and brown cloak, has an expression of true paternal love and endearment as he looks down at the Virgin Mary and Baby Jesus. Mary wears a white dress, blue shawl and lilac headdress, and is sat looking down at her baby in her lap, who is wrapped in a baby blue shawl and is fast asleep.
